Prepare with Focus, Deliver with Clarity, Speak with Power. Foreword by Michael Hyatt. This is a book about public speaking and a lot more. Mr. Davis has created a company Dynamic Communicators to teach others presentation skills. Authors websites www.kendavis.com, and www.dynamiccommunicators.com. KenDavis started out as a Christian comedian, and has branched out into training and teaching others public speaking. Knowing his background I know he is a Christian, and this book is from a Christian foundation, but not just for preachers or Sunday School teachers. It is for "anyone who has something to say, and wants to say it well" according to the author. That would include parents, managers, salespeople, presenters, and just about everyone else that talks to another human. The principles can be used by anyone needing presentation skills. Covering topics such as Objective, focus and using humor, he outline what he calls the SCORRE process, which is an acronym that stands for Subject, Central theme, Objective, Rationale, Resources, and Evaluation. He goes into each one in detail in the 13 chapters. There is also a list of key words and examples of objectives. This is an updated version of the book published in 1991.
I would suggest this book to anyone who wants to become a better communicator in whatever field they are in, and someone new to public speaking. I found it to be a very readable resource.
